A. The Bedbug is considered a parasite because it sucks blood off of humans. And it can cause rashes, psychological effects and allergic reactions.
B. Bedbugs have microscopic hairs that give them a banded appearance. They also use pheromones and kairomones to communicate regarding nesting locations, attacks, and reproduction.
Their feeding habits are blood of a host. A bedbug pierces the skin of its host with two hollow feeding tubes.
All bedbugs mate by traumatic insemination. Because the female has no genital opening, the male pierces her abdomen with his hypodermic genitalia and ejaculates into the body cavity. Male bedbugs sometimes attempt to mate with other males and pierce the latter in the abdomen.
Bedbugs have six life stages (5 immature and an adult stage). They will shed their skins through a molting process (ecdysis) throughout multiple stages of their lives. The discarded outer-shells look like clear, empty exoskeletons of the bugs themselves. Bedbugs must molt six times before becoming fertile adults.
Eradication of bedbugs frequently requires a combination of pesticide and non pesticide approaches. Pesticides that have historically been found to be effective include: pyrethroids, dichlorvos and malathion. Resistance to pesticides has increased significantly over time and there are concerns of negative health effects from their use. Mechanical approaches such as vacuuming up the insects and heat treating or wrapping mattresses have been recommended.
A. The deertick is considered a parasite because it sucks the blood of white tail deer. It can cause diseases such as Lyme disease and babesiosis.
B. The abdomen of a deertick is a gray blue, where as the tick itself is black. The organism feeds off the blood of deerticks. When they reproduce, they lay in leaves during the winter, then lay hundreds of eggs the next spring.
THE BED BUG...
a. The reason it is called a parisite because it prefers human blood. Having these bugs in your home and on your beds and couches ect. can cause you to get rashes and you might have allergic effects from them.
b. Small inscects from the Cimicidae family. Feeds on human blood and prefers habitat in houses and beds. They are mainly active at night. The life span of bedbugs varies by species and is also dependent on feeding. All bedbugs mate by traumatic insemination.Because the female has no genital opening, the male pierces her abdomen with his hypodermic genitalia and ejaculates into the body cavity.

A)
The bed bug is considered a parasite because it prefers to feed on human blood. The health related issue if a bedbug bites you is you could get skin rashes and alergic symptomes.
B)
The bedbug's physical characteristics are its reddish brown, flattened, oval shaped, wingless, and has micoscopic hairs on its body. The bedbugs feeding habits are feeding off a host and getting blood from human bodys when there is no other prey. The bedbugs reproduce by the male percing the female abdomen and ejeculates into body cavity. There are six stages of development, shed skin mutiple times, discard outer shell(molt), and must molt six times before becoming a fertile adult. The treatment for extermineting bedbugs is to either vacuming them up, heat treatment, or wrapping the matress.

A) Bedbugs are considered a parasite because they latch onto a human’s body and suck out the blood through their bites. They are tiny microscopic organisms that feed off of the blood of a human. Bedbugs cause many health issues. Some people might be allergic to them, some may have psychological effects from them, and most people get skin rashes from them. Their skin rashes range from minor rashes to huge blisters.
B) Q: Describe the physical characteristics of the organism. A: When seen under a microscope, adult bedbugs are a reddish-brown color and the youth bedbugs are a clearish color. They use pheromones to communicate with each other.
Q: Its feeding habits/food source A: Bedbugs live in old couches or mattresses and feed off of humans by biting them and sucking their blood. They are attracted to things by carbon dioxide, warmth, and certain chemicals. They can live up to a year without feeding, but they normally do it about every five to ten days.
Q: How it reproduces A: Bedbugs mate by traumatic insemination. The male pierces the female Some males will attempt to do this to other males. Their alarm pheromone is released when the bedbug is in danger, to alert other bedbugs.
Q: Stages of development: A: Bedbugs have 6 life stages. Throughout the stages of their lives, they shed their skin through a molting process. They molt six times before becoming an adult.
Q: Treatment for exterminating: A: If bedbugs become too infested, you can try non-pesticide and pesticide approaches to get rid of them. You can also try mechanical approaches, such as vacuuming them up or heat treating mattresses.

Bedbugs
A) Bed bugs are considered parasites because they live strictly on the blood of warm blooded mammals, preferably human blood. Bedbugs carry health risks such as the cause of rashes, and physiological or allergenic symptoms.
B) Bedbugs when fully grown are flat, oval shaped, reddish, brownish, and about 4-5mm in length and 1.5mm in width. Bedbugs also survive off of human blood living in beds and other areas in which humans sleep in. Bedbugs reproduce at a rapid rate by the male piercing the female abdomen with his hypodermic and ejaculating. This fertilizes the female and reproduction occurs. Bedbugs can be terminated by a mix of pesticide and non pesticide approaches. such the pestide pyrethoids.
1.Some of the health effects including skin rashes, psychological effects and allergic symptoms.including skin rashes, psychological effects and allergic symptoms. It is called a parsite because they get on your skin and they suck your blood.
2. Adult bedbugs are reddish brown and look like a flattened oval and are wingless. Adults grow to 4–5 mm in length and 1.5–3 mm wide.
• Bedbugs are bloodsucking insects. Most species feed on humans only when other
prey are unavailable.
• They will shed their skins through a molting process. There are 6 stages in the reproducing 5 inmature stages and an adult stage.

A) The Problem: (5 points)
Why is this organism considered a parasite and what health related issues does this organism cause?
A) Its part of the Cimicidae family, which means they typically feed off of human blood. The health effects may occur due to bed bugs including skin rashes, psychological effects and allergic symptoms.
B) Description of organism: (5 points)

They feed off of human blood only when their other prey is not availble to them.
Bedbugs have six life stages (5 immature and an adult stage). They shed their skin through out life. Their outer shells are clear.

A. A bed bug is considered a parasite because it feeds on human blood and can cause serious alergic reactions if bitten. It also can cause skin rashes and psychological effects.
B. The physical characteristics of the bed bugs are that when they suck blood, their body gets red. Adult bed bugs are reddish brown, flat, ovalish, wingless and have microscopic hairs that give them a banded appearence. Adults grow to 4–5 mm in length and 1.5–3 mm wide. Just hatched nymphs (baby bedbugs) are translucent and become darker as they grow.
The bedbugs feeding habits are that they stick 2 hollow tubes into a mammal/humans skin. Then with one tube it injects its saliva, which contains anticoagulants and anesthetics, while with the other it withdraws the blood of the mammal/human.
The Bedbugs reproduce by the male peircing the females abdomen (who has no genital opening) with his hypodermic genitalia into the females body cavity.
The stages of development for bedbugs are 5 immature stages and one adult stage. The bedbug sheds during this process.
The treatment for exterminating bedbugs is a little tricky to do. You either have to vacuum them up or use heat. People have also tried wrapping their mattresses up.

Bed Bugs:
A: Bedbugs are considered as parasites because just like mosquitos, they suck blood off of humans. After being bitten, sometimes side affects can occur such as allergic reactions and skin irritation.
B: Bedbugs have tiny hairs on their whole body. They use something called pheromones to communicate with attacks and direct nesting locations.Their eating habits are like no other bug/parasite. The bedbug has two tubes in its body in which food/blood goes down those tubes.
Every single bedbug mate by traumatic insemination. Since the female has no opening, the male pierces the females abdomen with hypodermic genitalia and then ejaculates it into the body's cavity. There is a better quantity of male bedbugs than female ones.
Bedbugs are born with six life stages. Five are immature and the other live is adult stage. A couple of times in a bedbugs' life span, they will shed their skin. The outer shells are very clear, almost see through like shells. They must shed six times before they reach the adult life span. There are ways to get rid of bedbugs in your house or building. You can try using pestiside and non-pestiside spray. If you don't want to try that, you can either vacuum up the bedbugs or change the temperature to a very warm temperature.
